Industry Partners Join CBA Culminating Activity to Strengthen Curriculum Development

Baguio City, April 5, 2025 — The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of the Cordilleras hosted its Internship 2 Culminating Activity titled “Professional Networking: The Power of Connection” at Rooms G311 and G312, bringing together students, faculty, and a distinguished roster of industry partners in a celebration of growth, collaboration, and future-forward curriculum development.

Among the honored guests were seven internship supervisors who played pivotal roles in mentoring students during their on-the-job training. These included:

  • Alyssa Joy Galiste, Alpha Insurance & Surety Company, Inc.
  • Jonathan Aurelio C. Rosalan, OSH Head, University of the Cordilleras

  • Maria Ornelas C. Flores, Operations Manager, 19hundred work.space
  • Jand M. Palacz, CSIO – Baguio City, LHIO, PhilHealth
  • Badr Mohamed Arabi, Customer Service, JFL Academy

Their presence underscored the vital role of industry-academe partnerships in shaping career-ready graduates. Each partner shared testimonials reflecting on the interns’ performance and emphasized the importance of experiential learning in preparing students for real-world challenges.

Adding a special dimension to the event was Mr. Dave Areoloa, a proud CBA alumnus, who joined the dialogue on curriculum enhancement. Mr. Areoloa, now an active contributor to industry-academe initiatives, collaborated with CBA faculty and internship coordinators to explore ways of aligning academic content with evolving industry standards. His insights, drawn from both professional experience and alumni perspective, sparked discussions on integrating practical competencies, digital fluency, and sustainability principles into future course offerings.

CBA Dean Dr. Grace R. Tobias and Program Chair Mr. Gabriel R. De Guzman expressed their gratitude to the partners and alumni for their continued support, noting that such engagements are instrumental in refining the college’s academic programs and ensuring relevance in a dynamic business landscape.

The event concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration between the university and its industry partners, paving the way for a more responsive and impactful business education.

Ms. Rosalina Ritumalta and Keyser Audrey Cuyop, an internship 2 student, delivered their testimony after completing their 400 hours of on-the-job training.
