Supporting Global Goals for Sustainable Development
The 2025 International Multidisciplinary Research Conference aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

In a continuing commitment to excellence and innovation, faculty members from the University of the Cordilleras (UC) participated in the 2025 International Multidisciplinary Research Conference, held at The North Pine Bed & Breakfast Hotel. Organized by the Knowledge Advancement and Youth Empowerment Training & Assessment Centre, OPC, this two-day event aimed to empower scholars for publication success and strengthen global academic collaboration.

Day 1: Paper Presentations and Expert Critiques
The first day featured paper presentations and expert critiques, providing faculty researchers with valuable feedback and insights to enhance their manuscripts for publication in reputable journals. This collaborative exchange fostered critical inquiry and knowledge advancement.

Day 2: Transformative Workshops
The second day offered intensive workshops, including:
- Getting Research Ready for Journal Submission
Led by Prof. Sheryl Adducul-Baria, who emphasized aligning manuscripts with journal scopes, maintaining ethical standards, and navigating the peer-review process.
“Publication is already a norm; what matters most is the impact measured by citations,” she noted.
- Understanding Foreign Academic Perspectives
Facilitated by Dr. Kamini Shanmugaiah from the University of Wollongong, Australia, encouraging scholars to bridge local insights with global standards for culturally resonant and internationally competitive research.
Commitment to Research Excellence
UC’s participation underscores its dedication to advancing research capabilities, enriching the academic environment, and preparing faculty and students to contribute to global academic discourse. Through initiatives like this, UC continues to empower scholars and drive sustainable development through knowledge creation.
