UC Relief Operation Extends Lifesaving Support to BCPDI Members in Tuba

In a continued effort to uplift vulnerable communities, the University of the Cordilleras (UC), through its Center for Social Responsibility’s Project H.E.L.E.N., conducted a successful relief operation in August 2025 for members of the Blessed Community of Persons with Disability (BCPDI) in Tuba, Tadiangan.

A key driving force behind this initiative was the College of Business Administration (CBA), whose Society of Junior Entrepreneurs (SJE) Club led the charge in mobilizing resources, coordinating logistics, and rallying volunteers. Their proactive involvement exemplifies the college’s commitment to social impact and student-led service.

This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of:

  • Society of Junior Entrepreneurs (CBA)
  • University Student Council
  • Occupational Safety and Health
  • Emergency Response Volunteers

Together, they distributed:

  • 📦 40 food packs to address immediate nutritional needs
  • 🔊 14 sets of emergencies signaling devices to enhance safety and disaster preparedness

In addition to the distribution, beneficiaries were given a hands-on orientation on the proper use of the signaling devices. This training aimed to empower persons with disabilities with tools and knowledge to respond effectively during emergencies.

The relief operation reflects UC’s unwavering commitment to inclusive community service, ensuring that no sector is left behind in times of need. Project H.E.L.E.N. continues to serve as a platform for meaningful engagement, fostering resilience and hope among marginalized groups.
