The spotlight shone brightly on Rich Adriane C. Riel, a 20-year-old second-year BS Entrepreneurship student from UC’s College of Business Administration, as he captivated audiences at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA). Competing against over 3,000 performers from 62 countries, Rich clinched:
- Gold Medals in Rock and Open Category
- Silver Medal in Pop Category
- Title of 2x Division Champion
His performances were nothing short of spectacular—a testament to passion, perseverance, and global competitiveness.

A Journey of Dedication
Rich’s musical journey began at age six, mastering the piano before conquering Battle of the Bands competitions in high school. His talent earned him a spot at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) from 2022 to 2023 after a rigorous audition process.
Rich draws inspiration from his family, friends, and faith in God, living by the mantra:
“There is no harm in trying—who knows what potential lies behind those shadows of doubt.”
